Oasis Africa Australia is proud to be a partner of Global Development Group (ABN 57 102 400 993), an Australian Non Government Organisation [NGO] carrying out humanitarian projects with approved partners and providing aid to relieve poverty and provide long term solutions through the provision of quality aid and development projects. Global Development Group takes responsibility for the project according to AusAID rules, providing a governance role and assisting in the areas of planning, monitoring, reviewing and evaluating to ensure that the projects are carried out to Australian requirements.

WARRINGAH RUGBY CLUB

The Warringah Rugby Club has a proud rugby heritage spanning over 40 years.  The Rats, as they are known, is a club built on strong values - to give their players the best opportunity to achieve their full potential and at the same time, to work for the betterment of the community and those less fortunate.  

The Club encourages players, members and sponsors to get involved in community activities at all levels.  It was in this spirit that the Rats undertook their first humanitarian tour to Kenya in 2011 with Oasis Africa Australia.  In between their match commitments, the Rats hosted rugby clinics for under-privileged children and visited the children of Kibera.  

To date the Rats have raised funds to build a community bridge into Kibera, a new school library at the school and the introduction of a much needed breakfast feeding program for the children.

The Club continues to actively raise awareness and funding for Oasis Africa Australia projects in Kibera via their annual "Back to Africa" day and a variety of community & school based programs.  For more information on the Warringah Rugby Club and their humanitarian tour to Kenya visit www.warringahrugby.com.au
